The New Hampshire Council of English Teachers and UNH are proud to host our fellow educators from across the state in a celebration of literature, creativity, and the power of words. At this gathering, teachers will have the opportunity to engage with celebrated authors, renowned scholars, and passionate educators. Whether you’ve been teaching for decades or just starting your journey, our annual fall gathering is a wonderful opportunity to rejuvenate your passion for poetry, draw inspiration from your peers, and cultivate connections within our vibrant teaching community. This fall’s focus will be poetry.
Poetry promotes literacy, improves vocabulary and articulation, boosts creativity, and fosters trust, empathy, and emotional resilience. Maybe most importantly, poetry is a great tool for vocal empowerment. Join us for a full day of fun and exciting ideas for getting poems off the page and into your classrooms!
